Two of America's leading specialists in outdoor
lighting will discuss the subject during a live
one-hour Webcast Wednesday, March 24, at the American
Savings Bank's HEI training room.
The Illuminating Engineering Society of Hawaii
is sponsoring the event, which starts at 7 a.m.
and is limited to 28 participants.
Presenting will be John Van Derlofske, manager
of transportation lighting for Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute and author of technical articles on
optics and transportation lighting technologies.
He will be joined by Michele McColgan, lighting
scientist at Rensselaer and the author of Rensselaer's
Lighting Answers publication. Topics include the
ideal lighting for motorists, lighting to make
neighborhoods secure, and secrets to attracting
shoppers and diners with good lighting.
